Olympics 2012

Trying to keep on top of things Cirencester 13th 14th October 2012 the Dog OLympics.All the fun of the fair and dogs to boot Cirencester Park next to Sandringham my favorite grounds to hold a show .
Lots of things in the pipe line and still lots to sort out .Special guest to open show special guest to close the show sorting out medals and rosettes to make this show special once in a life time for most dogs and to that end most handlers .
I hope that we can do the grounds and estate proud and the organisors pull this event off and keep it going for some years to come.
As on facebook any ideas that are worth concidering let me know and will put them out to the organisors for their opinion.

Two shows that I need help at one in Stanley Park Blackpool on Sunday 17th April funday for dogs and information day for dog owners handlers run by council and is a charity day.

Day two much bigger 5th June Sunday Myresclough College Preston water retrieve and woodland retrieve just to get you going this a competition with the emphesis on entertaining the public over 10,000 people attend this show so they want to watch dogs doing what dogs do and that is jump in the lake and retrieve dummies.

The show as Terry Large with his Falcons and John and Sandra Holstead in the arena with thier Drakeshead dogs and an whole host of things do do and see,so bring the dogs bring the kids and lets play for the day.

Sorry folks half way through February and no dates posted we are now able to post dates for youand they will be at the bottom of this posting.

Whats new in the world of scurrybandits well we are doing less shows this year but we are trying to give better events at the shows we do.
Every effort is being made to put the scurries on grounds that are not flat featureless bowling greens we are trying to get the shows to give us some ground that actually tests the dogs and handlers. And before you start no it is not going to be a working test they will still be scurries but on natural ground with natural cover with the level of difficulty being tailored to junior ,novice and open.

We have supporting us again this year Gilbertson and Page, Petspec ,Lintran , Sporting Saint, Indigo collars,Myatocs rosettes, .
Without these people this would be a pointless exercise many thanks to all of the supporters.

We then start on the curciut with Livinghertitage shows with a return to Thoresby in Notts and back to rough ground trees and water testing ground for them picking up dogs.

We are at this moment planning on doing 5 shows for HD fairs more details will follow when more stuff becomes clearer.

We have at Burghley and Raby shows working test competitions being run by Linc gundog and Yvonne Storre I will post details in the next couple of days but if you need info drop me a line and willl sort for you.

Going to Preston on Friday to visit a college to organise a scurry event for 5th June one day massive event and honoured to have been invited to put on scurry woodland and possibly water.

Its going to be busy year and to add to the working test's and rough ground we have sponsors who wish to have thier dy so we are looking to put on special events at Raby Castle ,Bowood House Broadlands this is on top of the finals at Sandringham where we hope to be changing the format for the Final so all change this year save you lot getting bored.

This year the staff and trialist are offering to put on a couple of seminar sessions for the juniors to take part in with Mr Bill Meldrum and hopefully some of the best trialist's in the country.So you juniors are in for some weekend in September courtesy of Mr Meldrum and his crew.This events gets better year on year thanks to Lintran ,Livingheritage and Sandringham people.
