Sorry that the events page is still not up and running I have a problem with the people who built the site only haveing the forsight to see that the world would not end in 2009 but go on into 2010.
On a more pleasent note first two shows have now come and gone one a great success the other a little lacking in people in attendance but agood show none the less looks good for 2011 may have an events page by then.
Burghley House show in May 30-31 will see a Retriever Working Test run by Lincolnshire Gundog Club with we hope a team event and a junior team event. If you need any further details give me a ring or email me. |

Lisa Allen and Jon Cook of Indigo Collartags have come forward to donate prizes in the Dummy launcher scurry that we run at country fairs.
They are offering a free tag and collar to the first place in the junior and the adult dummy launcher scurry.
Collars on gundogs is frowned upon by so many of the gundog community but the law says your dog must wear a collar and identity in a public place. So you lot that are opposed to such garments get used to the idea you will have to at some time have to put one on your dog.
If you must put one on then why not put one thats safe and will last you an awful long time and you could get one for free if you win the dummy launch competition
.

Just had comfirmation from Frank and Isobel at Lintran that they are again sponsoring the Junior Challenge the final to be held at Sandringham on the weekend of 11th and 12th of September.
We are hopeing that Mr Bill Meldrum will be able to sort out the judgeing for us again with his vast knowledge and people we should be haveing an event that is as good if not better than 2009.
Qualification is by invertation only and for the invite to be granted you have to show that as a junior you can handle your dog with out the help of an adult by your side.
See Bob or Frank at shows for more details.
I am so please to be able to say this event will run this year .The final in 2009 was my highlight of a long season and I was and still so proud of the kids that came along to a very memoriable day. In front of very expierienced dog handlers they shone and I hope they will all be back this year to try for this event.

I have some names of people coming to the bigggest gun show in the country to help on the scurries if you are able to come along and help give me a call and will sort out passes.
Straight after the Shooting Show we are off to Beale Park in Pangbourne Reading new venue for scurrybandits do not know what to expect people wise near London and not far from Oxford and so I expect there will be some scurry experts and some trialist working test exponents in attendance, have to wait and see.
Spent Friday in the rain on a Field Trial with Labadors different but very enjoyable some old faces and some new ones this gundog world is quite small when you look at it closely.
Going to Crufts on the Sunday for Gundog day anyone else planning a trip.
Anyone got any questions or ideas for this year post them to me and we try to get something new up and unning if we think it will work.

1 Shooting Show
1 CLA GAME FAIR
1 Just Dogs Live

Details on Events Calendar
There are an awful lot of shows out there that do not have scurries so if you know of such an event please check that dates do not clash with events that I have already committed to and then let me have any details that you may have. You lot know what we are about and I need to fill my diary and we need to spread the work that Gundog scurries are fun and they do entertain the paying public who pay good money to getin to shows and need to be able to sit and watch something as they drink thier coffee and eat thier icecreams.
